What’s the difference between a lab-grown diamond and a natural diamond?

The only difference is their point of origin; whether the diamond is found in the earth or it is made in a laboratory.

Both lab grown and natural diamonds have the identical same chemical composition and physical properties.

Henry’s Fine Jewelry is proud of offer both natural & laboratory grown diamonds in both the Summit, NJ & Basking Ridge, NJ store locations. Each laboratory grown diamond comes with a diamond grading report issued by the International Gemological Institute (IGI certified diamond) or the Gemological Institute of America (GIA certified diamond). Below is a real IGI Laboratory Grown Diamond Certificate showing the color and clarity quality grades, real pictures of the diamond, its laser inscription and all of the diamond’s dimensions. Laboratory Grown Diamonds typically sell between 20%-30% less than natural diamonds of the same quality.

If you’re interested in exploring either a laboratory grown or natural diamond, please feel free to discuss the difference with one of our certified GIA Diamond & Diamond Grading experts. The contact form is available below the diamond certificate or feel free to give us a call.
